Wentworth House in Daylesford – what a dream! Last week I had the pleasure of escaping to the country to stay and shoot with my partner in crime Jodi Flockhart at the gorgeous Wentworth House – a beautifully converted 1850s miners cottage, nestled on the banks of Lake Daylesford Reserve. The property has been beautifully designed and styled by owners Jessica from Dunbarlo Design and her partner David. Seriously I can’t believe how talented these humans are!
It’s all about the creature comforts here. Think open wood fires, deep soak baths, marble clad bathrooms and the most picturesque views over Lake Daylesford from the deck. The only problem is trying to leave…
It’s a perfect spot for a girls weekend or a romantic weekend away and consists of two king sized bedrooms with spa bath en-suites and one queen bedroom with separate bathroom and adjoining sitting room. Guests can also enjoy the convenience of a fully equipped, marble adorned country style kitchen with a high bar area for cocktail hour, adjoining a dark and moody dining space. The open plan living room with french doors to the large deck, is light filled and cosy. Guests are welcomed with champagne and the local craft beer from Daylesford Brewing Co accompanied by a local tasting platter brimming with cheese and charcuterie which you can pair with freshly baked bread and crackers.
Wentworth House is located in Daylesford, Victoria approximately 1.5hrs from Melbourne. Base yourself here to experience everything that the country tourist town of Daylesford has to offer including the best day spas, award winning restaurants, breweries and wineries, art galleries and local farmers market.
