Combi Elwood Brunch Review

Combi Elwood Brunch Review

combi elwood brunch

The only bad thing about Combi in Elwood is that it’s not closer to home. But I never mind an excuse to visit the bayside suburb of Elwood for an early morning breakfast before a leisurely walk on the beach.

At Combi it’s all about beautiful organic food. What started as a combi van serving coffee to festival goers has morphed into one of Melbourne’s hottest organic cafes. Nestled in the heart of Elwood, Combi shows you that healthy food doesnt’t have to be boring; it can be delicious, nourishing and colourful.

On the menu there’s a delectable mix of superfood infused smoothies, breakfast bowls, avocado on toast, raw zucchini spaghetti and cold pressed juices. Sweet tooths will love their delicious range of raw sweets and treats including their signature raw salted caramel slice, which is gooey and delicious. The whole menu is allergy and intolerance friendly so is perfect for anyone avoiding wheat, gluten, dairy and sugar. Combi have one of the most insta friendly menus going around, so it’s no surprise they have developed a massive following.

They also specialise in some of the best superbowls going around in Melbourne. The ‘Organic Chia Party’ is a parfait of chia seeds, soaked in-house nut mylk infused with orange rind and  layered with fruit, chocolate buckinis and house made coconut cashew yoghurt, while the antioxidant-loaded acai bowl is blended with banana, blueberries, medjool dates and nut mylk.

My personal favourite is the Dragonfruit Bowl ($16) which is delicious blend of  dragonfruit, mango, banana and house made nut mylk. It’s a picture perfect dish, topped with berries, kiwi fruit and banana with a sprinkling of chia seeds, cranberries, goji berries and activated caramelised buckinis.

For a light breakfast option, try the avocado toast (one toast $10, two toast $15), which is tossed with feta and a hint of lemon and mint to give it a nice citrus zest. The toast is finished with a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds, cracked pepper and Himalayan salt.

The drinks list is equally impressive with a great range of organic cold pressed juices, organic teas and raw organic superfood smoothies like the mango shack pictured below.

Blending the finest organic fair trade beans, Combi Coffee has a great depth of flavour, with a pinch of sweetness and quite strong just the way I like it.

Combi has a fun and friendly atmosphere, where you immediately feel welcomed and at home. I will definitely be back soon to try more of their delicious menu.

Haha this question actually reminded me of something that happened maybe two months ago. Me and my mate Kamran were wandering around Lahore on a Saturday afternoon with absolutely nothing planned, tried three different places to eat, all packed, ended up just sitting in a cafe with terrible wifi debating what to do. Kamran pulls out his phone and goes “bro just try this” and literally handed me Mostbet Pakistan https://mostbet-pak.pk/ already open. I was skeptical obviously because random cafe wifi is not exactly ideal conditions for anything. Registered in like two minutes, Kamran walked me through setting a session budget before touching anything which at the time felt unnecessary but genuinely saved me from going full idiot mode when I started losing early. Set myself 2% stake per hand on live blackjack, stuck to it religiously even when I was down and wanted to double up emotionally. Ended the session slightly up, Kamran finished comfortably ahead and we spent the walk home actually analysing what worked rather than complaining about losses.
