I’m a big fan of Fawlty Towers, it’s a timeless classic which has lasted through the generations. Which is why I jumped at the opportunity to be part of the beloved 1975 British cult classic and review Faulty Towers the Dining Experience last year.
The 2-hour interactive theatre show, featuring Basil, Sybil and Manuel has continued to wow audiences at sell out shows around the world. At all performances, guests become diners in the ‘Fawlty Towers’ restaurant and served a 3-course meal by Basil, Sybil and Manuel. Only a third of the show is scripted so anything can happen – just expect to be shocked, mocked and laugh until your chest aches.
Now this award winning show is celebrating its first birthday at Charing Cross with a whole month of special events and surprises.
So (insert drumroll) to share the fun with you I am running an exclusive competition this month for your chance to win two tickets to the show. The competition will run until the 31st October (midnight).

Good luck! Just don’t mention the war 🙂
My favourite must be when the chef gets hammered then Basil and Manuel have to step in, causing disaster!
i rather like the rat one
My wife is German and she told me that almost the first thing that happened when she came to this country is that someone said to her “don’t mention the war”. To her confusion it kept happening whenever she told someone that she was German. She never knew why this was happening as, to my astonishment, she’d never seen the infamous “Germans” episode of Fawlty Towers! I, of course, remedied this; and am pleased that she saw the funny side of the programme!
I think it has to be that one line said over and over by Basil in exasperation: “he’s from Barcelona”; SO simple, yet SO effective and gets me in stitches every time!
Absolute classic amongst a plethora of classics!
Manuel: “You orally men?”
Builder #1: “You what?”
Manuel: “You orally?”
Builder #1: “You watch it!”
Builder #2: “He means O’REILLY.”
Builder #1: “Oh YES! We are orally men. [aside] Thick as a plank.
Ha ha some great responses!! Makes me want to watch some more episodes. Good luck everyone!
Basil Fawlty: Do you remember when we were first *manacled* together? We used to laugh quite a lot.
Sybil Fawlty: Yes, but not at the same time, Basil.
Absolute comic genius (and oft quoted in our house!)
That, and the totally pointless 3 stairs at the top of the 1st floor landing in the hotel.

For me, it has to be when the Major thinks the moose head is talking to him and ends up having a conversation with it: “You naughty moose!”
Thank you all for entering. The results are now in and the winner of the two tickets is Sophie – congratulations! xxx
